On August 2nd, Calliope turned 2. Hard to believe that two years have already gone by! She is a total trip to be around, and makes our lives so much fun. We never know from one minute to the next what sort of shenanigans she is going to pull or what awesomeness will come from her sweet little mouth!. :)
On her actual birthday, we did our annual trip to Build a Bear... we plan to do this for the first 6 birthdays. A fun little tradition for her. She had a treat this year, as her Grandma and Grandpa came in town to celebrate. We all had dinner at Fish City Grill, got her bear, then ended the evening with a sweet treat from the cookie store.

Once it was stuffed, she didn't let it go.
So, on August 3rd, she had her party with friends... we only invited a few little ones, and her grandparents, which turned out to be perfect. We had this little get together at Chuck E Cheese, and it was her first time to go here. She had a BLAST. She played and played, then ate, and played some more. :) Good times, and we were so thankful to have our closest friends and family with us to celebrate.

I'd say that she welcomed turning two with great zeal! She got a lot of wonderful goodies, and was able to spend her days with the people that love her the most.
