Fall KDO Pics

So, I generally don't do "school" pictures... never have, with the exception of preschool.  Calliope's first attempt two years ago were HORRIBLE, so I was a bit hesitant to try this year, but I did, and boy I am glad I did!  They are precious.  Kristie Haymond with Studio Hill Photography did them this year, and she captured some really cute pics.

Nick's First Year... at a glance

This photo makes me so happy and so sad at the same time... It's been such a joy to be his mommy and to be able to spend my days getting to see him grow.  I just wish it didn't go by so fast. :(

Birthday Wishes from Calliope

My mom and dad both have birthdays in April... I was coaching Calliope on saying Happy Birthday before we called them, and much to my surprise she actually did it!  It was too cute to not capture on video :)

BHS Baseball

Drew made the freshman baseball team for Bentonville High School last fall, and we couldn't have been more proud... We were thrown a bit of a curve ball when we were told Drew needed ACL surgery, and it would be like two days later.  He had surgery on Sept 13, and it was a long road of recovery, but he did great.  He was able to work with the trainers at the high school as well as physical therapists to help get him back on the diamond for spring baseball.

He got cleared to play on the day of the first high school game!  What great timing!  Here is a couple of photos from that game, and his first at bat at as high schooler... they were playing in Rogers.

It's been a long season, filled with some mixed emotions.  But we are all trusting in God's plan for Drew, and know that everything happens for a reason.  Here is a video of him pitching from their home stadium and a couple more photos from a couple of games...

The high school season wraps up for Drew next week, and then we will be moving on to some serious baseball, and we are all so excited.  He will be playing with the AR Prospects, based out of N. Little Rock.  They have a great schedule lined up, with a couple of tournaments in FL! I'm excited to see what is in store for this team and Drew!

Meet Captain Crunch

Well folks, I think it happened...  hell did freeze over!  Ken finally let Peyton have a cat! I know, I know, its shocking, but true.

Peyton turned 12 in January, and she's REALLY REALLLLLLY REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY wanted a cat for a LONG time.  Well, this year Ken's heart had softened enough to allow her to get one.  Peyton had to sign a contract agreeing that the cat would be her responsibility, and she agreed.

So, we took a trip to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, and after hours and many scratches later, she chose the one.  A 6 month old kitten, that just melted her heart.

After long deliberation, the name she chose was Captain Crunch :)

He has been a sweet addition to our family and EXTREMELY tolerant of the babies, and the dogs.
